This premier exhibition of 21st century art from India unveils a fresh perspective on rich cultural traditions and artistic independence through approximately 60 paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations, video and new media works by 21 artists. This cutting-edge exhibit is the first U.S. showing of work that embodies the shift from established artists of the mid-20th century to an emphasis on contemporary art now associated with India.

Artists include Jayashree Chakravarty, Sheba Chhachhi, Anju Dodiya, Atul Dodiya, Anita Dube, Shilpa Gupta, Subodh Gupta, N. S. Harsha, Tushar Joag, Ranbir Kaleka, Jitish Kallat, Reena Saini Kallat, Nalini Malani, Pushpamala N, Tejal Shah, Gulammohammed Sheikh, Valay Shende, Arpita Singh, Vivan Sundaram, Vasudha Thozhur and Hema Upadhyay.
